The CMI LCD (Lowering Control Device) aides a ground crew in adding friction to a lowering system.  This allows large pieces of wood to be safely lowered to the ground.  The LCD attaches to most trees using two heavy duty ratchet straps (included).  The LCD has a working load limit of 6,000 lbs/ 2721 kg.  It weighs in at 16.9 lbs/ 7.66 kg and has a max rope diameter of ¾” (19mm).  It can be mounted to just about any sized tree and is constructed of 304 stainless steel.
