Buying guide
Wheel chocks should go in place every time the truck is parked for work. Outrigger pads spread the load on soft ground and protect pavement and turf; composite pads are light and will not rot like wood. A bucket cover keeps rain and debris out of the bucket between jobs, protecting the liner and controls. Choose accessories sized for your specific truck and bucket, and follow the lift manufacturer's setup instructions.
Two-man bucket covers, like the Weaver cover, are sized for larger buckets used on utility and tree trucks. Other bucket truck supplies include scabbards, tool holders and storage that keep the bucket organized. Bucket truck parts such as liners and controls should come from the manufacturer or an approved supplier. Check accessories regularly for wear, especially chocks and outrigger pads that see daily abuse.
Store chocks and pads where they are easy to grab so setting them out is quick and becomes a habit on every stop.
They are strong, lighter than many alternatives and do not rot or split, so they last longer on a working truck.
