Replacement cushions and foam inserts that bring tired Husqvarna muffs back to spec.
The hygiene set puts new ear cushions and foam inserts on your Husqvarna ear muffs so they seal and protect the way they did out of the box. Sweat, sawdust and sun break down cushions long before the cups wear out, and a cheap refresh is the fix.
A muff only protects as well as it seals. Once the cushions go hard, crack or flatten, noise from the saw, chipper and stump grinder leaks straight around the cup. Most crews notice it first as a muff that feels loose or that lets the chipper drone through on a long day of feeding brush.
Swap the set as soon as cushions harden or split, and plan on doing it at least yearly if you wear muffs every day. Keep a spare set in the truck so a torn cushion doesn't sideline your hearing protection mid-job.
Husqvarna ear muffs are simple to maintain, which is part of why so many crews run them. The shells and headband last for years if they are not crushed in the truck. The soft parts are the consumables, and the hygiene set is how you replace them without buying a new muff.
Pop the old cushions off the cup rim, pull out the foam, drop in the new foam and press the new cushion on until it seats all the way around. Check that nothing is pinched and that the cups still close flat against each other.
Wipe cushions with mild soap and water, not solvents, and let them dry out of direct sun. For more options see our hearing protection range, including helmet-mounted muffs.
