ClimbingSafety

The LAND AeroPro is a vented climbing helmet built for climbers who spend long, hot days in the canopy. Vents move air across your head and a chin strap keeps the helmet in place when you look up, lean out, or swing.

Built for time in the tree

A climbing helmet has to stay put. When you are hanging in a saddle, looking straight up at a tie-in point, or walking out a limb, a hard hat without a chin strap will roll off. The AeroPro uses a climbing-style fit with a chin strap so it stays on while you work. The vents let heat escape, which matters on summer pruning days when you are aloft for hours.

Pair it with helmet-mounted ear muffs and a mesh or clear visor for saw work. Before buying accessories, confirm they fit this shell.

Vented shells also shed heat when you are working in a bucket in direct sun, and a lighter helmet means less neck fatigue at the end of a long day of pruning or deadwooding.

Standards and replacement

Vented helmets are not suited to electrical work, so check what your job requires before choosing one. Any helmet used for tree work should meet the standard your employer and ANSI Z133 require, be worn as the manufacturer instructs, and be replaced after a hard impact or when the shell or suspension shows damage.

See more options in our helmet and hearing protection section, and keep the helmet out of the dashboard sun, which ages plastic quickly.
