Arborwear is a US company whose clothing grew out of the needs of working climbers. Their tree climbers' pants are built from heavy cotton canvas with doubled fabric where bark and rope wear through first, and a cut that does not bind when you throw a leg over a limb or step up on a spur.
The line has spread to shirts, flannels, jackets, hats and lighter pants for warm weather, but pants are still what most people come for. Arborwear pants are not chainsaw protective by themselves, so pair them with chaps on the ground or choose dedicated chainsaw pants when the job calls for them.
