The Arborwear Double Thick Hooded Sweatshirt is a heavy two-layer hoodie made for working outside in cold weather. This listing is the green color in size large.

Built for cold mornings

Tree work starts early, and the first hour is often the coldest. A heavy hoodie keeps you warm loading the truck and setting up, and two layers hold up to brush, bark, and rope better than a thin sweatshirt.

Climbing and running a saw warms you up fast, so plan to shed it once you're moving. Check the size chart before ordering. More cold-weather layers are in our sweatshirts and jackets.

Arborwear makes work clothing aimed at tree climbers and outdoor crews, and the Double Thick line is its heavier take on a classic sweatshirt. Green is a practical color for a job site, because it hides sap and dirt better than lighter colors.

Wearing it safely and care

Loose clothing and hood strings can catch in a chipper or saw. Tuck the hood in and remove drawstrings around chippers and stump grinders, and keep clothing snug when working near moving parts.

Wash cold and hang dry to keep the fit. Sawdust and sap come out better with a pre-treat before washing.

Heavy cotton and sweat don't mix well. On hard climbing days, layer a light base underneath so you can take the hoodie off and stay dry. A dry layer to put back on at lunch is a small luxury in winter.
