The heavy-duty climbing pant

The Original Tree Climbers' Pants are the heavy canvas option in the Arborwear lineup. The fabric is stiff out of the bag and breaks in over a few weeks of climbing and washing. In exchange you get a pant that stands up to spurs on bark, rope over the knee and long days dragging brush.

They suit climbers who do a lot of spur work on removals, crews in brushy country and anyone who finds lighter stretch pants wear through at the knee within a season. In summer heat they feel warm, which is the price of the heavier fabric.

Fit, care and limits

Heavy cotton can shrink a little in hot water, so wash cold and dry low or hang dry. Order your usual size and expect a stiff feel at first. Make sure pockets do not sit under saddle leg loops.

These are work pants, not chainsaw protection. When you run a saw on the ground, wear chaps or chainsaw-protective pants as ANSI Z133 requires. Check the seams and knees as they age and patch wear early.
