Arborwear's tree work pant in a light driftwood tan for sunny jobs.
Arborwear Canopy pants in driftwood are tree work pants in a light tan that stays cooler under summer sun. They are cut for climbing and built to handle brush, bark and rope.
Dark pants soak up heat on an open removal in July. Driftwood is a light tan that reflects more sun, which many climbers prefer for summer. The tradeoff is that sap and bar oil show more, so treat these as working pants and expect a little character.
The Canopy cut gives room through the seat and thigh for climbing and kneeling, and the fabric holds up to the bark and brush that shred cheap work pants. The same pant comes in coal, and our tree climbing pants page lists other weights and styles.
Light colors also make it a little easier for the ground crew to track your legs against dark bark when you are moving through a big canopy, though they are no substitute for a bright helmet or high-visibility top on the ground.
Order your usual waist size and check that pockets clear your saddle leg loops. Pre-treat sap with a degreaser or hand cleaner before washing, wash cold, and hang dry or tumble low.
These are work pants, not chainsaw protection. When you run a saw on the ground, wear chaps or chainsaw-protective pants as ANSI Z133 requires. Inspect crotch and knee seams regularly and fix small tears early.
Rotating two pairs through a hot week gives each a chance to dry and lasts longer than wearing one pair hard.
