Replacement anti-vibration damper for the Husqvarna 395XP.
This Husqvarna vibration damper fits the 395XP chainsaw. Worn dampers let more vibration into your hands and make the saw feel loose, so replacing them keeps a big saw comfortable and controllable.
The 395XP is a big saw used for long bucking and felling sessions. Its anti-vibration system relies on dampers between the handle and powerhead. When they wear, crack or sag, you feel more buzz in your hands and the handle feels loose or rattles.
Long-term vibration exposure is linked to hand and arm problems, so worn dampers are worth replacing promptly.
Dampers are rubber or spring parts, and rubber breaks down over time with heat, fuel and oil. On a saw that runs every day, it is normal for dampers to need replacing before the engine needs major work. Swapping them is much cheaper than dealing with a loose handle that cracks or a saw that is tiring to use.
Check which damper position you need, since saws often use different dampers in different places. Replace in sets if several are worn. If you are not sure, have a dealer do the job.
Always run the saw with chaps, eye and hearing protection and a helmet. See other power equipment parts.
After fitting, check that the handle is secure and that there is no metal-to-metal contact between the handle and powerhead. Start the saw and feel for unusual vibration before taking it back to work.
