Replacement bar-side housing half for the T540iXP battery top-handle saw.
This Husqvarna T540iXP clutch side chassis is the housing half on the bar and chain side of the battery top-handle saw. It carries the bar mount area and takes chain loads, so a cracked chassis or stripped bosses on this side affect how solidly the bar is held.
Look for cracks around the bar studs, the chain brake area or the screw bosses. If the bar won't stay tight, screws won't hold, or you see a crack after a fall, the clutch-side chassis may need replacing.
Battery saws don't have a clutch, but Husqvarna's parts lists still use the clutch side name for the bar and chain side.
This side of the chassis holds the bar mount, so damage here affects how well the bar stays tight and how the chain tracks. If you have trouble keeping chain tension, or the bar shifts under load even with the bar nut tight, inspect this side of the chassis for cracks or worn bosses. On a climbing saw, a loose bar is not something to ignore. Replace the chassis half if it is damaged.
Remove the battery before starting. Transfer the motor, chain brake and other parts carefully, noting how everything goes together. A dealer can do this if you are unsure.
If both halves are damaged, replace them together so screw bosses and seams line up properly.
Test all controls, the chain brake and chain tension after reassembly. Top-handle saws are for trained arborists only. Find the flywheel-side chassis and other parts in our chainsaw parts section.

Husqvarna uses the same side names across its parts lists. It means the bar and chain side.
It is not recommended, especially near the bar mount or brake. Replace it before use.
