A replacement screw for the drive side of the T540iXP battery top-handle.
This Husqvarna T540iXP screw fits the clutch side (drive side) of the battery top-handle saw, the side where the sprocket, bar and chain run. Lost or stripped screws on a climbing saw are a small problem that can turn into a loose cover or rattling part, so replace them with the right one rather than whatever is in the truck.
Husqvarna parts diagrams still call the chain side of the T540iXP the clutch side, even though it is a battery saw. Screws on that side hold parts that take vibration and chain loads all day. A screw that is too long can bottom out or hit internal parts, and one too short can strip the housing.
Check the parts diagram for your saw to confirm the screw position before ordering.
On a battery top-handle saw used daily, it pays to check screws on a regular schedule. Vibration, heat from cutting and being hung off a saddle loosen fasteners over time. A missing screw on the bar side can lead to a loose cover or brake part, which affects how the saw handles in the tree. Keep a couple of spare screws in the climbing kit so you can fix it on the spot.
Remove the battery first. Clean the threads, start the screw by hand, and tighten it snug without overdoing it, since many threads on a top-handle saw are in plastic or light alloy. A dab of thread locker is sometimes specified, so follow the service manual.
Top-handle saws are for trained arborists. Check the chain brake and that everything is tight before you climb. More T540iXP parts are in our chainsaw parts category.

Husqvarna's parts lists use the same side names across saws. On the T540iXP it means the bar and chain side.
It is better to use the correct part. Length, thread and head type matter in a small housing.
