The Husqvarna T435 fuel hose assembly replaces the line that carries fuel from the tank to the carburetor on the T435 top-handle saw. Old hose hardens and cracks with ethanol fuel and heat, and a pinhole leak is enough to make a climbing saw run lean, bog or quit mid-cut.

Why fuel line fails

A top-handle saw lives a rough life: heat from the engine, ethanol fuel, and days hanging off a saddle in the sun. Fuel hose goes stiff and cracks, especially where it passes through the tank. Once air gets drawn in, the T435 runs lean, idles poorly and can die when you tip it to cut.

If the saw smells of fuel, leaks from the tank area, or won't hold an idle after a carb clean, check the line first. It is one of the cheapest fixes on the saw.

The T435 is a light top-handle saw that many climbers use for pruning, small removals and detail work, so it often stays in service for years. That age shows up first in rubber parts. Replacing the fuel hose before it fails is cheaper than a service call, and it avoids the frustration of a saw that dies every time you hang it off the saddle and pull it back up to cut.

Replacing it

Drain the tank, pull the old hose and filter, and fit the new assembly so it seats fully in the tank grommet with the filter hanging free inside. Reattach to the carburetor and check for kinks. Reinstall the fuel filter or fit a new one at the same time.

Top-handle saws are for trained arborists working from a secure position. After any repair, confirm the chain brake and throttle lockout work before you climb. More T435 bits are in our chainsaw parts section.
