MaintenancePro grade

This Husqvarna 395XP cylinder gasket seals the cylinder to the crankcase on Husqvarna's big-bore saw. Fit a new one every time the cylinder comes off, whether for a piston and rings or an inspection.

Keep the big saw sealed

A 395XP runs hot and hard, often on the biggest logs of the job. Any air leak at the cylinder base leans the mixture and can cook the piston. A fresh gasket is the cheapest part of the rebuild and one of the most important.

Order it with your other top-end parts from our power equipment parts.

If you're doing a top end on a 395XP, take the time to inspect the piston, rings, and bearings. A failed top end often points to a lean condition or poor fuel that needs fixing first.

Rebuild tips

Clean the surfaces gently, set the gasket as the service manual directs, and torque cylinder bolts evenly to spec.

Find the cause of the failure before you run it again. Dirty filters, air leaks at the intake, and poor fuel are the usual suspects. A pressure and vacuum test confirms the seal.

Keep a spare gasket on the shelf so you're not waiting on parts with the saw apart. Confirm the part number for your serial range, as small changes can affect fit. Retune the carburetor after the rebuild and keep the saw on a light load for the first tanks. Fit the gasket carefully so it doesn't shift as the cylinder goes down.
