Replacement motor cooling fan for the Husqvarna T540i XP battery saw.
This Husqvarna T540i XP cooling fan is the cooling fan for the motor on the battery top-handle saw. A cracked or damaged fan reduces airflow, which can lead to the saw overheating or cutting out during heavy use.
Battery saws make heat under load, and the T540i XP is designed to work hard in the canopy. The fan moves air across the motor and electronics. If blades are broken or the fan is damaged, airflow drops, and you may see the saw slow down or stop to protect itself on long cuts.
A rattle or new noise from the motor area can also point to a damaged fan.
Batteries and saws run warmer on hot days and in dense, hard wood. Keep a second battery in the shade and swap them as needed rather than pushing one battery to its limit. Fine sawdust from dry wood collects quickly around the fan, so check it often. If the saw still overheats with a clean, intact fan and filter, have a dealer look at it.
Remove the battery first. Follow the service manual to reach the fan, remove the old one, clean out dust and chips, and fit the new fan securely. Spin it by hand to confirm it turns freely without rubbing.
Keep the air filter and cover clean and the cooling vents clear. Matching T540i XP parts are in our chainsaw parts section.

Battery saws protect themselves from overheating. Check that the cooling path, filter and fan are clean and intact, and let the saw and battery cool.
If you are comfortable with basic service and follow the manual, yes. Otherwise a Husqvarna dealer can do it.
