A replacement anti-vibration spring for the Husqvarna 395XP.
This Husqvarna 395XP anti vibration spring replaces a broken or tired spring between the handle and the engine. The AV system is what makes running a big saw for hours bearable on your hands and arms.
A 395XP is a heavy, high-torque saw. Its anti-vibration springs separate the engine from the handles. When one breaks, the saw feels loose, the handle rattles, and more vibration goes into your hands. Over time that contributes to numbness and hand problems.
Check the other springs and mounts at the same time. Find them in our power equipment parts.
Vibration exposure adds up over years of saw work. Keeping the AV system in good shape is one of the simplest things you can do to protect your hands. Replace springs that are stretched, cracked, or rusted.
With the saw off and cool, grip the handle and the engine and feel for slop. Look for cracked, stretched, or missing springs and worn mounts.
Confirm which position your spring sits in, since a saw can use more than one type. Install washers and plugs as the parts diagram shows.
When one spring breaks, others are often close behind. Many techs replace them as a set and check the AV buffers and washers at the same time. Check that the handle and engine don't touch anywhere after reassembly. A rattle that comes back quickly usually points to a worn mount. Use only the Husqvarna part listed for that spot on the saw.

The handle feels loose or clunks against the engine, and vibration increases. Inspect each mount.
Not always. Check the parts diagram for the position you are replacing.
