MaintenancePro grade

This Husqvarna 572XP anti-vibration element replaces a worn or broken AV mount on the 70cc pro saw. Good AV mounts keep the handles solid and take the edge off engine vibration over a long day of felling and bucking.

Why it matters on a pro saw

The 572XP is built for full days in the woods. That is a lot of vibration cycles through the AV system. When an element breaks, the saw can feel loose, the handles shift relative to the engine and more buzz reaches your hands.

A loose saw is harder to hold steady through a back cut or bore cut. Fresh AV mounts help you place the bar where you mean to.

Hand-arm vibration adds up over years of cutting. Good AV mounts, sharp chain and a well-tuned saw all reduce how much buzz reaches your hands. Anti-vibration gloves can help too. If you notice numbness, tingling or white fingers after running a saw, take it seriously, and look at the condition of the AV system on the saws you run most.

Fitting it

Check the parts diagram for the location, as the 572XP uses mounts in more than one spot. Remove the covers or handle needed for access, swap the element and tighten the fasteners to spec.

If you are replacing a bent front handle, it is a good time to inspect every AV mount. Find the front handle assembly and more in our chainsaw parts section.
