Replacement bumper spikes for the 562XP so the saw bites and pivots cleanly.
Husqvarna 562XP felling dogs replace the worn or bent bumper spikes on a 562XP. A sharp set gives the saw a firm pivot against the wood, which makes bucking and felling cuts smoother and less tiring.
The 562XP is a workhorse for felling and bucking on tree crews. When its felling dogs are bent or worn smooth, the saw slips instead of pivoting, and you end up pushing the bar through the cut. That wastes time, wears you out and makes it harder to keep a straight cut.
Replacing the dogs is a quick, cheap fix that brings back the bite and the leverage.
Bent dogs often come from the saw being dropped, getting caught in a pinch or bouncing off a log. Look them over whenever you clean the saw. A loose dog can also rattle, wear the mounting holes and eventually let the screws back out, so tighten them as part of routine maintenance.
Check the listing for whether this is an inner dog, an outer dog or a set, and confirm the part number for your saw. Remove the bar and chain, take off the old dog, fit the new one with the right screws and tighten them well. Make sure the chain runs clear.
While you are there, check the chain catcher and clutch cover. See more power equipment parts for the 562XP and other saws.
Keep a spare set in the parts box so a bent dog does not take a good saw out of service on a busy day.

Aftermarket dogs exist for many saws. Check that any part is made for your model and does not interfere with the chain or cover.
