Replacement bumper spikes that give the 372XP a solid pivot in big wood.
Husqvarna 372XP felling dogs replace worn, bent or missing bumper spikes on the 372XP. Sharp felling dogs give the saw a pivot point against the log, so you can lever through big cuts with less effort and more control.
Felling dogs are the toothed spikes beside the bar. Set them into the wood and the saw pivots on them, so the bar walks through the cut with less push from you. On a 372XP bucking big rounds or cutting a felling notch, a solid set of dogs makes the saw feel stronger and steadier.
Dogs bend when the saw is dropped or pinched, and the points wear round after hard use. When they slip instead of biting, it is time to replace them.
The 372XP is a long-running pro saw, and many crews keep older units in service with good parts. Felling dogs are among the cheapest parts to replace and among the most noticeable when they are worn. If you also have bent bar studs or a cracked clutch cover from the same drop, fix those at the same time.
Check the listing for whether this is an inner or outer dog, or a set, and match it to your saw and any fitted options. Remove the bar and chain, take off the old dog, and fit the new one with the correct screws, tightened firmly. Make sure nothing rubs the chain.
Use genuine or listed compatible parts. See more power equipment parts for your saws.
Check that the dogs sit flat against the saw body and that the screws are secure after the first tank of fuel, since new parts can settle in.
