Replacement fuel line for the Husqvarna 562XP chainsaw.
This Husqvarna 562XP fuel line carries fuel from the tank to the carburetor on the 60cc pro saw. Fuel lines harden and crack with age and ethanol fuel, and a leaking line can cause hard starting, lean running and a fuel smell around the saw.
A cracked fuel line lets air into the system. The saw may start and die, run rough or rev erratically, or leak fuel where the line passes through the tank. Old lines also go hard and can break when you fish the filter out.
Ethanol-blended fuel tends to shorten fuel line life. Saws that sit between jobs with fuel in the tank are the most likely to need a new line.
A quick way to spot a bad line is to look at where it passes through the tank wall. Fuel weeping there, a wet spot under the saw after it sits, or a line that feels stiff when you fish the filter out are all signs. Ethanol-free or pre-mixed fuel helps lines last longer, and draining the tank before long storage keeps the rubber from drying out between seasons.
Fuel line replacement on the 562XP means getting at the carburetor connection and feeding the new line through the tank grommet so it seals. Take your time and do not cut or nick the new line. Fit a new fuel filter on the tank end while you are there.
If you are not comfortable working around the carburetor, a dealer can do it quickly. Find a matching filter in our chainsaw parts section.
