Replacement front handle for the Husqvarna T540i XP battery top-handle saw.
This Husqvarna T540i XP front handle replaces the front grip on Husqvarna's battery top-handle saw. Climbers lean on that handle for control in the tree, so a cracked or loose handle should be swapped before the saw goes back aloft.
Top-handle saws get dropped onto lanyards, banged against stems and stuffed into saddle holsters all day. The front handle can crack at the mounting points or start to flex. On a battery saw used for pruning and removals in the canopy, a handle that moves is a control problem.
Top-handle chainsaws are built for trained arborists working in trees. Two-handed operation is the standard practice under ANSI Z133, and a sound front handle is part of that.
A sound front handle also matters when you hand the saw down on a tag line or clip it back to your saddle. Grabbing a cracked handle in a hurry is how saws get fumbled out of trees. Look at the mounting points each time you clean the saw, and replace the handle at the first sign of cracks, flex or stripped screw bosses rather than waiting for it to fail aloft.
Remove the battery first. Then remove the fasteners that hold the old handle, fit the new handle in the same orientation and tighten the screws to spec without stripping the plastic. Check that nothing interferes with the chain brake hand guard.
Look over the rest of the saw while it is on the bench. Other T540i XP pieces, from the hand guard to the air filter cover, are in our chainsaw parts section.

No. The T540i XP is a battery saw with its own housing parts. Order the handle listed for the gas T540XP if that is your saw.
Yes. Always remove the battery before any service work on a battery chainsaw.
