This Echo CS-2511T air filter cover replaces a cracked, lost, or worn cover on Echo's small top-handle saw. The cover keeps chips and dust away from the air filter and holds it in place on the climb.

Small saw, small parts

The CS-2511T is a favorite climbing saw because it is light and easy to handle on a lanyard. That also means it gets bumped against limbs and dropped into the bed of the truck, and the filter cover takes the hits. A cracked cover lets chips pack around the filter and can come off in the tree.

Find other parts in our power equipment parts section.

A missing cover can also let rain and debris in, causing hard starting and rough running. If you climb with this saw, a replacement cover is a cheap fix that keeps it reliable.

Fit and install

Confirm the part against your saw's model and, if Echo lists it, the serial range. Make sure the filter is clean and seated before closing the cover, and check that it latches firmly.

Top-handle saws are for trained arborists working in trees. Follow the operator's manual and ANSI Z133.

Check the filter while the cover is off. Clean it if it's dusty and replace it if it's torn. Keep the saw tethered on a lanyard in the tree and inspect it regularly so small parts don't fall off unnoticed. A quick look before each climb catches loose covers and missing screws.
