MaintenancePro grade

This Husqvarna 372XP air filter assembly replaces a worn, torn, or clogged filter on one of the most common pro saws on tree crews. A clean filter keeps grit out of the cylinder and lets the saw make full power.

Why the filter matters

A 372XP spends its life in sawdust. A dirty filter starves the engine of air so it runs rich, loses power, and fouls plugs. A torn filter is worse: fine dust gets through and scores the piston and cylinder.

Check the filter at every refuel on dusty jobs. Find more replacement parts in our power equipment parts.

Husqvarna's parts listings give the exact fit for each model and serial range, so check that before you order. Some saws have had more than one filter design over their production run.

Cleaning and replacing

Tap or brush off loose dust and clean the filter as Husqvarna describes. Do not blow compressed air through it from the outside, which drives dust deeper.

Replace it when it is torn, will not come clean, or no longer seals. Always confirm the part against your saw's model and serial number.

Keep a spare filter in the saw kit. On a dusty job, swapping a clogged filter for a clean one and cleaning the old one back at the shop is quicker than trying to clean it in the field. Inspect the seal around the filter as well. A clean filter is the cheapest insurance a 372XP owner can buy, and checking it takes less than a minute at each fuel stop.
