MaintenanceGroundPro grade

Husqvarna 2-stroke fuel in bulk lets a crew fill every saw, blower and pole saw from one supply of ready-mixed, ethanol-free fuel. No mixing at the pump, and no gumming from ethanol fuel sitting in a saw over the off-season.

Why crews run premix

Ethanol pump gas absorbs water and breaks down in storage, which leads to varnished carbs, hard starts and lean seizures. Pre-mixed, ethanol-free fuel avoids most of that. It also removes the mixing step, so no one on the crew gets the ratio wrong. For a company running a dozen saws and blowers, a drum works out cheaper per gallon than cans while keeping everything on the same fuel.

Confirm the mix ratio on the drum suits all your 2-stroke equipment.

Running the same fuel in every tool also makes troubleshooting easier. When a saw will not start, you know fuel quality is not the problem. Bulk premix is most useful for larger crews and companies with a yard where fuel can be stored safely. Smaller operations usually do better with cans or quarts, which are easier to rotate and keep fresh.

Storage and handling

Store the drum upright in a ventilated spot away from ignition sources, use a proper drum pump, and fill approved cans. Follow local fire code rules for bulk fuel. Fuel saws on bare ground away from where you start them, and wipe up spills before starting.

Keep the bung sealed between uses so moisture and dirt stay out.
