PruningClimbing

This Silky Gomtaro Pro Sentei replacement blade fits the Gomtaro Pro Sentei straight pruning saw. Silky handles last for years, so a new blade is the simple way to get back the clean, fast cut you bought the saw for.

Fresh teeth for your Gomtaro

The Gomtaro is one of Silky's straight-blade workhorses, and the Pro Sentei version is popular with climbers and pruners who want a stiff blade that tracks straight. Silky teeth are hard and very sharp, but they do dull, especially in dirty bark or dead wood. A replacement blade gets the saw cutting like new for less than a whole saw.

Match the blade length to your saw before you order. Other Silky and pole saw blades are listed in our blades section.

Swapping and care

Swap blades at the truck with the saw on a flat surface, and tighten the fasteners firmly. Wear gloves when you handle a bare blade, keep it in a scabbard or cover when it is not in use, and never cut toward your body or your lanyard.

Silky blades cut on the pull, so let the saw do the work and do not force the push stroke. Wipe off sap after use and keep the blade dry to stop rust.

Keeping a spare blade in your gear bag means a dull or kinked saw never ends a pruning day early. Store the saw in its scabbard so the new teeth stay sharp longer.
