A 13 inch tri-cut pole saw blade with a hook for clearing hangers.
The Jameson tri-cut saw blade is a 13 inch replacement pole saw blade with tri-cut teeth and a hook at the tip. The teeth cut fast on the pull stroke, and the hook helps you pull down hangers and clear small limbs without switching tools.
When you are pruning with a pole saw, cut limbs often hang up in the crown. The hook at the tip of this blade lets you reach up and pull a hanger free or rake small cut pieces down without putting the saw down for another tool. The tri-cut teeth slice cleanly on the pull stroke, leaving a tidy cut on the limb you are keeping.
Tri-cut teeth are hardened and generally not filed, so replace the blade when it dulls. See other blades in our blades section.
Pull hangers with care. Stand clear of where the limb will drop and do not yank on a piece that is still holding load. A spare blade in the truck keeps you working if one kinks in a bind.
Make sure the length and mounting holes match your Jameson saw head or other compatible head. Bolt it on tight with no play.
Clean sap off, oil lightly, and keep it covered in the truck. Watch where cut limbs and hangers will fall before you pull them, and keep the ground crew clear. Near power lines, only qualified line-clearance workers may work within ANSI Z133 approach distances, using rated insulated tools.
Keep a spare blade handy.
