A 13 inch tri-edge replacement blade for pole pruning saws.
The Fanno tri-edge blade is a 13 inch replacement pruning blade with tri-edge teeth that cut on the pull stroke. It is a common replacement for pole saw heads, and a fresh blade brings a tired saw back to cutting fast.
Tri-edge teeth are ground on three faces, so each tooth slices fibers cleanly on the pull stroke instead of tearing them. That means faster cuts with less effort, and a cleaner pruning wound on the live limbs you are leaving. On a pole saw, where you are working overhead at arm's length, a sharp blade is the difference between three pulls and ten.
Tri-edge teeth are usually hardened and are not meant to be filed. When the blade dulls, replace it. More blades are in our blades section.
Keeping a spare blade in the truck is cheap insurance. A pole saw blade can kink if it binds in a cut, and with a spare you can swap it on site and keep the job moving instead of driving back for another saw.
Check the mounting holes and length match your saw head before ordering, and bolt the blade in with the correct hardware, snug and without play. A loose blade wanders and can bind or break.
Wipe sap off after use, keep the blade lightly oiled against rust, and cover it in transport. When pruning near power lines, only qualified line-clearance arborists should work within ANSI Z133 approach distances, using properly rated insulated tools.
