Replacement gaffs to restore grip on worn Klein climbers.
Klein replacement gaffs fit Klein climbers and let you replace gaffs that are worn short, chipped or bent instead of buying new spurs. Match the gaff style to your climber and the work you do.
Klein builds climbers for both pole and tree use, and the gaffs differ. Tree gaffs are longer to get through thick bark into wood; pole gaffs are shorter. Check which climber you have and which gaff it needs before ordering.
More spur parts are in replacement gaffs and parts, and full sets are under climbing spurs.
Never mix and match gaffs between brands unless the maker says they fit. A gaff that sits even slightly off can change the angle it enters the bark, which affects how well it holds.
Fit gaffs with the correct hardware, tighten fully and check for play. Keep them sharp with a file and a gauge, never a grinder, and retire them once they wear short.
Inspect gaffs and straps before every climb. Use spurs only for removals or utility work, always climb with a lanyard, and follow Klein's instructions and ANSI Z133.
Spur parts are cheap next to a fall or a lost day. Keep a small kit in the climbing bag with a file, a gauge, spare screws and a strap, so a worn part gets swapped at the truck instead of nursed through the rest of the job.
When you order parts, note your climber brand, model and roughly when you bought it. Makers revise designs over the years, and that detail is the fastest way to be sure the replacement matches what is on your spurs.

Replace them when they are worn short, chipped or bent, or when a gauge shows the profile can't be restored.
