Light, cool apron-style chaps for sawyers who spend all day on the ground.
Clogger chaps in the Zero Light and Cool apron style are built for ground work in hot weather, where heavy chaps get left in the truck. The apron cut wraps the front of the legs and buckles on fast over work pants.
Most leg cuts happen on the ground, bucking and limbing, when the saw is low and you are tired. The best chaps are the ones you actually wear, and Clogger built the Zero line around comfort so they stay on all day, even in summer heat.
Apron chaps protect the front of the legs, where nearly all saw contact happens. They clip around the waist and legs and come off fast when you switch to dragging brush or running the chipper.
The Light and Cool version is aimed at warm-weather crews. Lighter outer fabric and a breathable build mean less heat trapped against the legs while you are bent over a log, so you are less tempted to leave them off for a quick cut.
Chaps should cover from the waist to at least two inches below the top of the boot. Pick the length that does that for you. Wash per the label; oil and sawdust buildup can reduce performance, and any cut through the outer shell means the chaps need replacing.
Chaps are a last line of defense, not a substitute for training and good saw handling. Climbers who need protection in the tree should look at Clogger Zero chainsaw pants instead.

Apron chaps are meant for ground work. Climbers are better off in chainsaw pants that move with a saddle.
After any cut through the outer layer, or when they are worn, torn or heavily contaminated with oil.
