The Rig Guy wire hub stop is a fitting used in the Rig Guy tree cabling system to hold the wire in position at the hub. It is one of the matched parts that keeps a multi-way installation set up the way it was designed.

Where it fits in the system

Hub-style cabling links several leaders through a central point, which is common where a crown has three or more weak unions. Each wire needs to stay at its set position at the hub, and the stop fitting is what holds it there.

Use the stop with the cable diameter and hub it is made for. Mixing parts from different systems can let a wire slip or seat poorly.

Hub systems are often used where leaders need support in more than one direction. Because each wire relates to the others, a single stop that slips can change the load on the whole system, which is why careful setting and regular checks matter.

Install and inspect

Follow the system maker's install steps for setting and securing the stop. Check each stop at inspection for slipping, corrosion and wear, and confirm the cable lengths have not changed. Cabling and bracing is structural work on a living tree. It should be specified and installed by a trained arborist following ANSI A300 Part 3, ANSI Z133 and the hardware maker's instructions, and inspected on a regular schedule after install. Browse the rest of the hardware in our cabling hardware section.

Record each wire's position and the stop locations at install, which makes later inspections quicker and more reliable.
