GroundMaintenancePro grade

Greenteeth 1100 series WearSharp teeth are carbide-tipped stump grinder teeth for wheels set up with the Greenteeth 1100 pocket system. The WearSharp design is meant to keep a cutting edge as the carbide wears, so the grinder keeps cutting instead of rubbing.

Why sharp teeth matter

Dull stump grinder teeth slow production, burn fuel, and beat up the machine. Sharp teeth take bigger, cleaner bites. Rocks and dirt are the main enemy, so clear around the stump first.

Match the teeth to the 1100 series pockets on your wheel. See bolts and other parts in our stump grinding section.

Greenteeth WearSharp teeth are popular with crews who grind a lot of stumps, since the design is meant to keep a usable edge longer than standard tips. Fewer stops to change teeth means more stumps per day.

Rotating and inspecting

Greenteeth are designed to be rotated in the pocket to bring a fresh edge into play. Check teeth, pockets, and bolts every day, and replace any tooth with broken carbide.

Shut the grinder down and wait for the wheel to stop before touching it. Keep people and vehicles well back, use guards and debris shields, and wear eye, face, and hearing protection.

Replace bolts that are worn or damaged, and torque them to spec. A tooth that comes loose from the wheel is a projectile. Keep spare teeth and bolts in the truck so a broken tooth doesn't end the day. Note how many hours each set lasts to plan replacements.
