Replacement bolt for low-profile stump grinder tooth systems.
This Lo-Pro stump grinder bolt is a replacement tooth bolt for low-profile tooth and pocket setups. Bolts stretch, round off, and get beaten by rocks, and a bad bolt is the usual reason a tooth comes loose.
Teeth take hard impacts on every revolution of the cutter wheel. The bolt holding a tooth and pocket does a lot of work, and it wears with the teeth. Rounded heads, damaged threads, and bolts that have been over-torqued are all reasons to replace.
A loose tooth throws the wheel out of balance and can damage pockets and the wheel itself.
Lo-Pro and other low-profile systems put the tooth close to the wheel, so bolt condition and correct length matter to keep teeth seated and to avoid hardware sticking out where it can catch.
Lock out the grinder and clean the wheel. Match the bolt to your tooth system and wheel thickness, use new nuts where required, and torque to the spec for your system. Recheck torque after the first stump.
Keep spare bolts with the teeth and a calibrated torque wrench in the truck. A tooth change is the right time to replace any questionable bolts rather than waiting for one to fail on the next job. Use anti-seize only if your tooth system's instructions allow it.
Grinding throws debris, so wear eye and face protection and keep bystanders back. Browse more stump grinding hardware.

Inspect them at every tooth change and replace any that are stretched, bent, or damaged.
Follow your tooth system's guidance. Locking nuts lose their hold after repeated use.
