FellingPruningMaintenancePro grade

Husqvarna .325 mini chain in .043 gauge is a narrow-kerf X-Cut chain made for light pro saws that run .325 mini bars. The thinner cut takes less power, so smaller saws cut quicker and smoother, which is ideal for pruning, limbing and climbing saws.

Why narrow kerf

A narrower chain removes less wood on every pass. On a saw with less power, that means the chain keeps its speed in the cut instead of bogging down. Husqvarna's .325 mini chain at .043 gauge suits light pro rear-handle and top-handle saws set up with matching narrow-kerf bars.

It also uses a smaller file, so sharpening is quick. Check your file size in the chain's specs and keep your depth gauges in spec.

Narrow-kerf chain is popular on climbing saws because it keeps a light saw cutting fast without needing more power, which helps when you are working one-handed in awkward positions.

Getting the right loop

Your bar must be .325 mini pitch with a .043 groove, and the drive sprocket must match too. Count the drive links on your old chain or check the bar marking before ordering. Wrong gauge or pitch will not run safely.

Always run the chain brake, wear chainsaw protective gear, and keep the chain sharp and correctly tensioned. More chain options are in our chainsaw chain section.

Run new chain for a few minutes at low load and recheck tension once it warms up; new chains stretch slightly at first.

Keep a spare loop on the truck so a dull or damaged chain never stops the job.
