Ground mats that keep trucks and machines from rutting lawns on tree jobs.
ArborMats are ground protection mats that tree crews lay down as a temporary road for trucks, lifts, loaders and stump grinders. They spread the load so you can cross lawns and soft ground without leaving ruts for the customer to look at.
Getting a lift or a loaded chip truck into a back yard is often what makes a removal profitable. Leaving deep ruts in the lawn is what loses the next job. ArborMats spread the weight of tires and tracks over a larger area so soft ground holds up, and the crew leaves a yard that needs a rake, not a regrade.
Mats also protect pavers, irrigation heads and septic areas, and give the crew a cleaner, less slippery surface to work on in the wet.
Mats also make a difference on commercial and municipal jobs, where a crew might be crossing sports fields, cemeteries or landscaped medians. A clean exit keeps property managers happy and avoids repair bills that eat into the job's margin.
Plan the route before the equipment arrives, lay mats ahead of the machine and overlap or connect them so edges do not lift. Check the listing for size, weight and load rating, and make sure the rating suits your heaviest machine.
Lift mats with enough people or with equipment, and keep your feet clear when setting them down. Hose them off before loading so you do not track mud to the next site. Compare other ground protection mats.
Stack and strap them securely on the trailer.

Specs are from the manufacturer's published figures where available. Confirm against the product listing before you buy.
Check the load rating on the listing against your truck's weight and how it will be set up, including outrigger pads.
Use outrigger pads made for that purpose and follow the lift manufacturer's setup instructions.
