The Jameson heavy duty pruner is a pole pruner head built for steady professional use on overhead limbs. It suits crews that want a durable head for daily canopy raising and clearance work.

Built for steady work

Pole pruners on a busy crew take a beating: dropped in the truck, banged into limbs, pulled hard on wet days. A heavy duty head stands up to that and keeps cutting cleanly. It is a good fit for clearance pruning, line-of-sight work and canopy raising.

Match the head to your pole connection and add rope if needed. Compare heads in pruners and loppers.

Pole pruners are the right tool for small limbs that need a clean cut, especially on street trees and ornamentals. They are quiet, need no fuel, and are easy to hand to a ground worker. A heavy duty head gives you that clean cut and holds up to the knocks of daily work.

Use and maintenance

Seat the limb fully in the jaw before pulling, stand off to the side, and wear a helmet and eye protection. Keep the required clearance from power lines.

Clean and oil the pivot and pulley, keep the blade sharp, and inspect the rope for wear. Replace worn parts before they fail on the job.

Keep a spare blade and rope with the kit so a worn part does not stop the job. Store the pruner in a pole bag with the cutting head covered, and keep it out of the bottom of the truck where heavy gear can bend it.
