Jameson CompositLock Pruner Head

The Jameson CompositLock pruner head mounts on compatible Jameson poles to cut limbs overhead from the ground. Use it to build a new pole pruner or replace a worn head on an existing kit.

What it is for

A pruner head turns a pole into a clean-cutting tool for limbs you cannot reach from the ground. It is the right choice for smaller limbs where a saw is overkill and a clean cut matters, such as raising a canopy or removing small deadwood.

The CompositLock fitting must match your poles, so check before you order. Other heads and pruners are in pruners and loppers.

Replacing just the head makes sense when the poles are still in good shape but the old head is worn, bent or missing parts. A fresh head with a sharp blade and smooth pivot cuts more cleanly and takes less effort on the rope, which makes a big difference on a long day of clearance pruning.

Safe use and care

Wear a helmet and eye protection and stand to the side of the cut. Keep clear of power lines; do not count on a pole for electrical protection.

Keep the blade clean and sharp, oil the pivot and pulley, and check the rope and fittings before each job. Replace worn rope and damaged parts promptly.

Keep the pruner head covered and stored in a pole bag when it is not in use, so the blade stays sharp and nobody grabs it by the cutting end. A spare blade and rope in the bag can save a trip back to the shop.
