PruningGround

The Jameson telescoping pole extends from about 6 to 12 feet, so one handle covers low clearance pruning and higher limbs. It takes Jameson pole saw heads and pruners and collapses short for the truck.

One pole, more reach

Clearance pruning over sidewalks and drives, raising canopies and taking out deadwood from the ground all call for different reach. A telescoping pole lets you work at 6 feet for low limbs and run it out toward 12 when you need it, without swapping poles.

Fiberglass gives a stiff handle that tracks the saw stroke well, and it is the material pole tools have used for decades on tree and grounds crews.

A telescoping pole also keeps the truck rack simpler. Instead of carrying a short pole for low work and a long one for higher limbs, one adjustable handle covers both, and it fits easier in a compartment when collapsed. Pair it with a sharp pole saw head and a pruner head and most ground pruning is covered.

Safety near power lines

Do not assume any pole is safe near energized lines. Only qualified line-clearance workers should prune near power lines, with dielectric-tested tools and the minimum approach distances set by ANSI Z133 and OSHA. Keep the pole clean and dry and inspect it for cracks or damage.

Check the locking collar each time you extend the pole so a section cannot slip under load, and wear eye protection and a helmet when cutting overhead. Browse more poles and kits for other lengths.
