One scabbard for a 14 in hand saw with a pouch for your pruners.
The Weaver saw scabbard with pruner pouch carries a 14 in hand saw and a pair of pruners in one holster. The curved back follows the shape of a curved pruning saw, and the combined design saves space on a belt or saddle.
Most pruning climbers carry a hand saw and pruners. Putting both in one scabbard frees up space on the saddle and keeps the cutting tools together on one side. The curved back matches curved saws, so the blade sits in the sheath without binding.
Match the HL 14 size to a 14 in blade. Other sizes and styles are in pole saws and scabbards.
A combined holster is a good fit for production pruning, where you switch between saw and pruners many times on each limb. Both tools are in the same place every time, so your hand finds them without looking, and you have one less item to clip on and off the saddle at the start and end of the day.
Mount the scabbard where you can draw and replace the saw with your dominant hand without looking, and where the saw tip will not catch your climbing line or lanyard. Always sheath the saw before moving in the tree.
Clean out sawdust and sap so the blade seats fully. Check stitching and the mount regularly, and replace the scabbard if the saw tip starts to poke through.
Ground workers can wear it on a belt to keep both tools handy while cleaning up.
