26 inch upper straps that hold spur shanks snug below the knee.
Weaver Brahma upper climber straps are 26 inch replacement straps that wrap the calf just below the knee and hold the top of the spur shank in place. A solid upper strap keeps the shank from wandering when you load your spurs.
The upper strap wraps around your calf just below the knee and holds the shank and pad tight to your leg. When it is worn or loose, the top of the spur moves around with each step, and the pad rubs instead of supporting. A good upper strap is a large part of what makes spurs feel stable on a spar.
Measure your current straps and confirm 26 inch fits your calf and pads. Lower straps, gaffs, and guards are in our replacement gaffs and parts section.
Replace both upper straps together so they wear evenly and feel the same on each leg. If your current straps have stretched to the last hole, that is a clear sign it is time.
Cinch the upper strap snug but not so tight it bites into the back of the knee or restricts circulation. Make sure it sits below the knee joint so it does not limit bending.
Inspect straps and buckles each time you inspect your gaffs. Replace straps that are cut, cracked, stretched at the holes, or have bent buckles. Spur work is for removals only, by trained climbers, with a flipline in place and following ANSI Z133.
Keep a spare set in the truck for the day one gets cut.

Just below the knee, snug enough to hold the shank without limiting how the knee bends.
