Quick-connect ankle straps for getting in and out of Gecko spurs fast.
These Notch Gecko quick-connect lower climber straps fit the lower position on Gecko spurs, so you can get in and out of the spurs fast. They also serve as direct replacements when original straps wear out.
On a removal day you may strap in and out of spurs several times. Quick-connect lower straps speed that up while still holding the stirrup tight to your boot so the spur doesn't twist.
These are made for Gecko spurs. Other parts are in replacement gaffs and parts.
Snug the strap so the stirrup sits tight under the arch and can't roll. A spur that twists on the boot makes every step less secure and wears you out faster.
Fast transitions also help when you climb on spurs, then come down to run the saw or feed the chipper, then go back up. Less fumbling means less time standing around in the drop zone.
Check webbing, stitching and fittings before each climb. Clear grit from the connectors and replace straps that are frayed, cut or slipping.
Follow Notch's instructions and ANSI Z133, and always use a lanyard or flipline while climbing on spurs.
Spur parts are cheap next to a fall or a lost day. Keep a small kit in the climbing bag with a file, a gauge, spare screws and a strap, so a worn part gets swapped at the truck instead of nursed through the rest of the job.
