Replacement Velcro lower straps for a quick, even fit on your climbing spurs.
Buckingham Velcro lower straps replace the ankle straps on your climbers with hook-and-loop closures. They go on fast, adjust easily and are a good fix when old buckle straps are cracked or stretched.
The lower strap holds the stirrup to your boot and keeps the spur from twisting when you step in. A stretched or cracked strap lets the spur roll, which hurts your footing and your confidence. Velcro straps make it easy to get the same snug fit every time.
Check compatibility with your climbers before ordering. More parts are in replacement gaffs and parts.
Hook-and-loop also makes it easy to adjust tension during the day as boots and socks settle. Snug the strap so the stirrup can't shift, but not so tight it cuts off circulation.
Keep the hook side clean of sawdust and bark, which reduces grip. Check for fraying, cuts and worn stitching before each climb, and replace straps that show damage.
Follow the manufacturer's instructions and ANSI Z133 for spur use, and always climb on spurs with a lanyard or flipline.
Spur parts are cheap next to a fall or a lost day. Keep a small kit in the climbing bag with a file, a gauge, spare screws and a strap, so a worn part gets swapped at the truck instead of nursed through the rest of the job.
When you order parts, note your climber brand, model and roughly when you bought it. Makers revise designs over the years, and that detail is the fastest way to be sure the replacement matches what is on your spurs.

They hold well when clean and in good condition. Replace them when the hook-and-loop wears or clogs.
Check the strap width and attachment against your climbers before ordering.
