A compact Weaver rope bag for shorter lines, lanyards, and access ropes.
The Weaver small rope bag is a compact drawstring-style bag for a shorter climbing line, a rope lanyard, or an access line. It keeps the rope clean, stops tangles in the truck, and makes it easy to grab the right line.
Not every rope needs a big bag. A short climbing line for small trees, a rope lanyard, a spare access line, or a pull rope all fit better in something compact. A small rope bag stops those lines from turning into a knot in the truck box and keeps them clean between jobs.
Using separate bags also helps crews keep track of which rope is which. Label the bag or match it to the rope color so nobody grabs a rigging line when they need the climbing line. See more sizes in our rope bags.
Small bags are also handy for the extra lines on a removal: a tag line, a pull rope for directional felling, or a spare lowering line. Each one comes out ready to use instead of as a tangle, which saves real time when the crew is waiting on you.
Feed the rope in hand over hand rather than coiling it, so it pays out without twists. Dry the rope before closing the bag for storage, and keep it away from fuel, bar oil, and battery acid.
Inspect any life-support rope before every climb regardless of how it was stored, and retire it when the maker's guidance says it is done.

It is sized for shorter lines. A full-length climbing rope usually needs a medium or large bag.
You can, but a dedicated throw line bag or cube is easier to throw from without tangles.
