ClimbingSafety

The Weaver bungee chainsaw lanyard in the interchangeable style is made to switch between tools or saddles quickly. It gives you the familiar bungee stretch with ends that are easy to swap when you change saws mid-job.

Built to swap

On many jobs you will go up with a top-handle saw, then switch to a handsaw or pole saw, or send the saw down for fuel. An interchangeable lanyard makes that quicker: you unclip the end, swap the tool, and keep working. It is also handy for crews where saddles and saws move between climbers.

Make sure the connectors you use close fully and are not loaded across the gate. Set the length so a hanging saw stays clear of your legs and life-support lines.

Care

Inspect the bungee and ends before each climb. Replace the lanyard if the shock cord is cut, stretched out, or contaminated with fuel. You can compare coiled, hi-viz, and retractable chainsaw lanyards in this section.

If you run more than one saw, a second lanyard body can live on the other saw so a swap is just one clip. Label or color-code them so everyone on the crew knows which goes where.

Keep spare connectors in your kit bag in case a gate starts to stick mid-job.

A saw lanyard is not life support and is never a tie-in point. Run your saw to the manufacturer's instructions, wear your PPE, and follow ANSI Z133 for aloft saw work.
