ClimbingSafety

The Weaver bungee modular chainsaw lanyard system, often searched as the Weaver Leather bungee chain strap, keeps your saw tethered to your saddle while you work. The modular design lets you set it up to suit how you carry and hang your saw.

How the modular system helps

Every climber hangs a saw a little differently. A modular lanyard lets you arrange the bungee and connectors to suit your saddle, your saw, and whether you work mostly pruning or removals. The bungee gives reach when you cut and pulls the saw back in when you let go, keeping it away from your feet and climbing line.

It also works for hand saws or other tools you want tethered while you climb.

Weaver Leather has made climbing saddles and tree gear for many years, and its lanyards are built to last through daily use on a saddle. The bungee is designed to hold up to repeated stretching, and the connectors are sized to fit common saw rings.

Checks before you climb

Inspect the bungee for cuts or lost stretch and check every connector closes fully. This is a tool tether only; never use it for positioning or fall protection. Pair it with a top-handle saw like the Husqvarna T542i XP, or see other chainsaw lanyards.

Replace the lanyard if the bungee loses its stretch or the cover is cut. Keep the saw hanging on the side away from your climbing line so it does not interfere when you move.

Inspect the stitching and hardware regularly, and keep it clean of bar oil and sap.
