Throw bags from Husqvarna for setting a throw line through a high crotch.
Husqvarna throw weights are throw bags for setting a throw line over a high union so you can pull up your climbing or rigging line. A reliable throw weight is the fastest way to get a good tie-in point without climbing to it.
A throw weight carries the throw line up and over your chosen union, then drops back down the far side. Heavier bags carry farther and drop through foliage more easily; lighter bags are easier to control in a dense canopy and are less likely to hang up. Many climbers keep two weights so they can switch based on the tree.
Tie or clip the throw line to the weight's ring, flake the line into a cube or bag so it pays out cleanly, and use an underhand or two-handed throw for control. Once set, isolate the line to the union you want before pulling up rope.
Keep throw line and weights together in a cube or bag so they come out of the truck ready to use and free of knots. When a weight hangs up in the canopy, pull gently and try to shake it free rather than yanking hard, which can wedge it deeper or snap the line. A spare weight in the kit keeps the job moving if one stays in the tree.
Throw weights come down fast. Keep the drop zone clear, wear a helmet, and call out before each throw. Watch for power lines and never throw near conductors. Throw lines and kits are in throw weights and line.
Inspect the bag, ring and stitching regularly and retire a weight that is splitting.

Many climbers start with a mid-weight bag and add a heavier one for tall trees. Choose based on throw height and canopy density.
Any good arborist throw line that ties or clips securely to the ring. Thinner lines run more easily but tangle more if not flaked well.
