A slick 1.8mm throwline for setting lines high in the canopy.
Courant Sushi 1.8mm throwline is made for setting climbing and rigging lines. Its slick surface runs fast off a cube or bag and slides easily over bark when you isolate a limb.
A good throwline has to come off the pile cleanly, fly far behind the bag, and then slide over bark without hanging up while you isolate the limb. A slick, thin line like the Sushi does all three, so you get more height with less arm.
1.8mm is a common middle ground: thin enough to throw high, thick enough to handle and pull a climbing line without cutting your hands. Compare other throw lines if you prefer a thinner or stiffer line.
The bright finish is easy to follow through the crown, so you can see which side of a limb the line went over before you start pulling.
Store it in a cube or bag so it pays out without tangles, and keep it clean; sap and grit slow it down. Check the line for nicks and thin spots, and cut out damage rather than throwing on it.
Throw lines are not life-support gear. Use them only to set your climbing or rigging line, and make sure the crew is clear of the drop zone when you throw or pull a bag down.
A small cube clipped to the saddle or the throw bag keeps it ready for the next tree.

Yes, it works with standard throw bags. Lighter bags fly further on thin line; heavier bags pull it through dense crowns.
Flake it into a throw cube or bag so it comes out without knots.
