RiggingPro grade

This 7/8 in adjustable rigging sling is built for heavy anchor points on big removals. The oversized XL ring lets the sling choke around large stems and adjust to length, so you can set rigging blocks and redirects without carrying slings in every size.

Why an adjustable anchor sling

On a big removal, the rigging point has to hold the biggest loads of the job. A heavy 7/8 in sling with an XL ring wraps big trunks and adjusts on site, so you can set a block exactly where you want it without a collection of fixed slings. The large ring passes the sling's own eye and makes adjustments easier.

Use it to hang rigging blocks, anchor lowering devices at the base, or build redirects for big leaders.

Adjustable slings are also easier to set in the tree, since you can wrap and choke them without needing an exact length.

A heavy sling like this also spreads the load over a wider area of bark than thin rope, which is kinder to the anchor tree on big rigging jobs.

Rigging safely

Check the rated strength on the tag or listing, and size every part of the system — rope, block, sling and tree — for the dynamic loads you will create. Keep the ground crew clear of the drop zone and running line.

Inspect for cuts, abrasion and core damage, and check the ring for wear and burrs. Retire a sling after a severe shock load. More slings are in our adjustable slings section.

Keep the sling clean and dry, and store it away from fuel and chemicals that can weaken fibers.
