An adjustable rope sling with a medium ring for quick rigging points.
A ring sling with a medium ring is an adjustable rope sling that lets you set a rigging point at any height and wrap it to the stem in seconds. This version uses 1/2 inch rope and a medium ring, a common combination for everyday rigging.
A fixed-length sling either fits the stem or it does not. A ring sling lets you wrap the stem, pass the tail through the ring, and adjust until the block sits exactly where you want it. It sets quickly, holds well, and comes down easily when the job moves on.
Use it for rigging points, block anchors, and as a choker for natural crotch rigging. Find more in our adjustable slings.
Because it adjusts, one ring sling can cover a wide range of stem sizes. That means fewer slings to carry up the tree and less time spent swapping slings when the first one does not fit.
Read the tag for the rated strength and keep working loads well below it. A choked hitch reduces strength, and a rigging point under a running line can see close to double the load.
Check the rope for cuts, glazing, and flat spots, and the ring for cracks, burrs, or wear grooves before each use. Retire the sling if the tag is missing. Rigging should follow ANSI Z133.
Store it dry and away from fuel and chemicals, and keep a record of its use, especially any big shock loads.

Yes, that is one of its main uses. Make sure its rating suits the forces involved.
It passes 1/2 inch rope cleanly while staying compact. Larger rings suit bigger rope.
