An add-on stand that turns a LogRite tool into a log lifter for clean bucking.
The LogRite log stand attachment adds a foot to a LogRite cant hook or peavey so you can roll a log up and hold it off the ground while you buck. Keeping the cut clear of soil saves your chain and speeds up firewood and cleanup work.
Bucking a log that is lying on the ground means the last inch of every cut runs toward dirt and stones. One touch and the chain is dull. Rolling the log up onto a stand gets the cut zone off the ground so you can saw straight through. It also brings the work up a few inches, which your back will notice by the end of a removal.
LogRite tools are known for their aluminum handles and hooks built for hard use. The stand attachment lets one tool do double duty: roll and position the log, then lift and hold it.
On firewood jobs where the customer wants everything cut to length, a stand speeds up the whole process. Roll the log up, cut the rounds clear of the ground, drop it, move along, and repeat.
Make sure the log is stable on the stand before you cut, and stand to the uphill side. Watch for pinching as the cut opens and keep your feet clear of where the log will drop. Wear chaps, boots, eye and hearing protection.
Check fit against your LogRite model and handle size before ordering, and follow LogRite's instructions for mounting. More tools are in log handling tools.
