Long-handled 5-tine fork for chips, mulch and brush cleanup.
A 5 tine pitchfork with a 54 in fiberglass handle is the go-to tool for moving wood chips, mulch, leaves and small debris. The fiberglass handle stands up to weather and does not rot or splinter like wood.
Every tree job ends with cleanup. A 5-tine fork moves chips, mulch, leaves and small sticks faster than a shovel because material slides off less and you are not lifting dirt. The 54 in handle gives you reach when loading into a truck or chip box, and the fiberglass handle shrugs off rain, sun and being left in the bed overnight.
Use it to spread mulch at the base of trees after planting, too.
A fork with a long handle also saves your back when clearing the drop zone around a removal, since you can stand more upright while you work. Keep one on every truck. It is handy for raking small sticks off a lawn, clearing the area under a chipper, and loading the last of the chips from the street into the truck before you leave.
Lift with your legs, keep loads modest, and carry the fork tines down so they do not catch anyone. Hang it or stand it up in the truck so tines are not exposed underfoot. Check the head and handle joint for looseness now and then.
Rinse off sap and wet chips at the end of the day so the tines do not rust.

More tines hold more loose material such as chips and mulch. Fewer tines suit hay and long straw.
It resists rot and weather and does not splinter, which suits a tool that lives in the truck.
