ClimbingPro grade

The treeMOTION evo knotted rope bridge is a replacement rope bridge with knotted terminations for Teufelberger's treeMOTION evo saddle. It lets you swap out a worn bridge yourself and keep the saddle working.

Swapping an evo bridge

The bridge on a treeMOTION evo carries your climbing system, your lanyard connections, and often a rope wrench or device tether. It rubs against hardware all day, so it is designed to be replaced long before the rest of the saddle is worn out.

A knotted bridge is installed by threading it through the saddle's bridge attachment points and finishing it with the stopper knots Teufelberger specifies. Dress the knots tight, check the length is correct, and load-test the setup low before you leave the ground. If the instructions call for a specific knot or tail length, follow them exactly.

Bridge length changes how your saddle works. A longer bridge gives more side-to-side reach and lets a rope wrench or device ride further from your body; a shorter one keeps everything tight and close. If you are unsure what length you run now, measure the old bridge before you cut it off, and keep your setup consistent.

Inspection and spares

Check the bridge before each climb for cuts, glazing, flattened or stiff sections, and slipped knots. Retire it at the first sign of damage. Keeping a spare in your gear bag means one worn bridge does not end a work week. Browse more treeMOTION parts and shoulder harnesses here.

Life-support gear must meet the applicable standard (ANSI Z133 and the manufacturer's instructions), be inspected before every climb, and be used only by trained climbers.
